Powering Women in Defence, Rockingham

Powering Women Project by Sandon WA Inc is proudly supported by Government of Western Australia Department of Communities WA in Partnership with Perth Networking Club, Consolidated Group & Rocket Launcher. The Powering Women Project has been a remarkable initiative, connecting and uplifting women in various industries across Western Australia. Since its launch, the project has built a strong LinkedIn community with over 100 women collaborating, supporting each other, and sharing their journeys. With more than 150 attendees across four events, the Powering Women Project has become a key platform for inspiring women in their career and business endeavours.

The journey culminates with the final event, a powerful panel discussion at the WA Defence Forum by City of Rockingham on 9th October 2024. This session, titled "Navigating Career Management | How to Make Your Mark", will bring together influential leaders to share their insights on career growth, leadership, and the challenges and opportunities facing women in today’s workforce.

The session, moderated by Justin Barnes, will feature an impressive panel of experts:

  • Rachel Falzon – Director & National President, Novel Management Pty Ltd & Women in Defence

  • Hannah Beazley MLA – Member for Victoria Park at the Parliament of Western Australia

  • Michele Clement – Director, Defence Science Centre

  • Colleen Yates – CEO, Regional Development Australia

This panel will provide valuable advice on career management strategies, leadership development, and making a lasting impact in your field. With their unique perspectives and experiences, these leaders will offer attendees an opportunity to learn, grow, and forge new connections.

The event promises to be a fitting finale to the Powering Women Project’s series of forums, and we can’t wait to see you there!
