Meet George – Our Blue Truck

Firstly, George is an inside joke. At Consolidated Group of Companies everyone is George. Everyone greats and refers to each other as George. When new people start the first thing they ask is “who is George”, and our answer is everyone.    The George culture shows equal respect for each other and makes everyone feel included. Mental health awareness for individuals and mental health responsibility for business have moved to the forefront of how we live, work and operate over the last few years. Everyone has a story of how mental illness have affected their lives and every story is different and we are driven to keep mental health in the picture.   Getting inspiration from lead awareness organisations like the @Blue Tree Project, @R U Ok, @MATES in Construction and Mining and @Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds we created the blue R U OK GEORGE? Truck.

The colour Blue, for the Blue Tree Project a real moving truck

R U OK George, to spread the R U OK message

A Truck for MATES in Civil and Mining and Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds because this equipment is used across all industries.

Keep an eye out for George on the road.

As we continued to align our business model, values, and missions to ensure we captured the importance of each of these mental health campaigns and organisations we wanted to go a step further. We also then created “The Consolidated Way”.

The team at Consolidated Group acknowledge that to be the best version of yourself you need to be healthy across all pillars of health. We take a holistic approach to advocating mental health and wellbeing for our employees and consequently created the CONSOLIDATED WAY.

This includes:

- CHAT the Consolidated Way

Its ok to talk to your mates.

- CONSUME the Consolidated Way

Eat healthy to give your body the right fuel.

- Connect the Consolidated Way

Do things that make you happy.

We would like to thank @Bradley Lacey from the Western Force for assisting us in making short education videos on each of these pillars as part of our inductions for new employees.
