We are discussing all things Mental Health! 

We will hear from Rahul Seth representing Activate Mental Health, Perth’s largest mental well-being support group. Established in 2016 by Rahul Seth, a Chartered Accountant, as a mechanism to make new friendships and have some fun, the group has scaled immensely over the past 7 years, where over 20+ volunteers run over 300 events annually for its 5,400+ members. Remarkably, all this work is financed on an annual budget of $4,000, which is completely financed by small businesses. The group is based on the values of connection, fun and inclusion and is helping people reduce their social isolation in fun and non-clinical activities. Activate Mental Health is currently working through the process of becoming a registered charity, so that it can scale its impact in the community.

Fact: Rahul Seth recently won the 2023 Volunteer of the Year award, so you do not want to miss this! 

You will also learn tips from Darren Peterson, Take Charge. He is an expert mental health first aid trainer and will provide you with in depth and insight into mental health. 

We will also tell you about an upcoming Mental Health First Air Training Session that you can sign up for!
